Question im about to build a computer ... help ?!?!

Hey

I'm new to the forums and i would just like to say hey. But back to the point.

Ive just got some money and ive got a list of what parts i want for my computer

Here is the list: AMD 64 3500 939 socket - $130
The DFI LANParty NF4 SLI-DR - $288
512Mb DDR2 667 Memory 184pin x2 - $200
250Gb Seagate 7200RPM SATA HDD x2 - $240
256MB Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce GF 7600GT DVI GF7600GT PCI-Express PCI-E Video Card - $200
Super Lanboy case - $130
19" LCD with 4-8ms refresh rate - about $300

Is this computer good enough for lan battles, but it also has to work as a home pc. Im up for any sugestions in changing the parts on my list

P.S. - If you know where to get these parts cheaper or parts that you have recomended me to get dont heasitate to put the URL's up thank you

Whoa if you're getting 512mb ram for $200...thats one big rip off, that is unless you meant 2gb ram.

EDIT: I just saw the x2 at the end. Pretty nice budget system though.

i seen build and help and came here.

that would do alot better with 1gb of RAM, maybe you could go 17" on the LCD to save some money.

i'd also look into AM2 and the new intel Core 2 duo(C2D), cause with a $191 intel C2D, and over clock it to around 3.4ghz, it could easily beat the AMd Fx-62, which costs about $1000.

whats your total budget? if it's around $1000 i have a conroe build in my newegg wishlists that ill post, if it's lower go AM2, and if it's even lower s939 is stil good, but there will be no more parts made for s939 after the end of the year.

EDIT: just seen you had the x2 at the end of your ram, and $200 for 1gb is still a rip, plus the ram wont work with that board/cpu, it's DDR2 and s939 uses DDR.
