Just a pointless starting question; How old are you?

Sims 2 and R:TW aren't very intensive game (I loved both though). What's your budget, since we need that to even get started.

800 huh, well you should be able to get a decent set-up for that.

I say

cpu: c2d e6300
Ram: 1gb ddr2 667mhz
harddrive: 250gig sata2
Power supply: 450 watt
Graphics card: 7900gs
Case: centrion 5
Motherboard: leave that to someone else
Optical drive: lite on $30 model.

I would assume that that would eb within your budget.

Your local store will overcharge you out the you-know-what for parts, even pre-built ones. You wouldn't be able to get anything nearly as good with that budget.

I trust online stores more than Brick and Mortar (local stores, B&M) ones. Sure, you have to pay shipping, and tax in California and New Jersey, but you're still saving plenty of money.
