In this picture you can see the differences:

I don't know anything about cables except what is and what isn't haha, but I assume that dual link is better than single link because it provides better bandwidth...or something

Hey buddy,

Looking at monitors at the moment and wanted an opinion....again
is a 1920x1200 resolution worth the extra £50 a piece over the equivalent 12" 1920x1080?
Samsung SM2433BW 24" TFT Monitor 1920x1200 20000:1 300cd/m2 5ms VGA/DVI Glossy Black 3 Years Warranty - Ebuyer
vs
Philips 230C1HSB 23" Full HD LCD Monitor 1920x1080 12000:1 (Dynamic) 300cd/m2 5ms VGA/DVI-D/HDMI/USB Multimedia Glossy Black - Ebuyer
or will a vga only connection (i have an adaptor) TFT be just as good as the above, seems to have a much higher resolution and is cheaper: Samsung SM2343NW 23" TFT Monitor 2048x1152 300cd/m2 20000:1 5ms VGA Black 3 Years Warranty - Ebuyer

Thanks
