I don't know much about CPU's but I am considering purchasing a desktop. These are the specs. Please tell me if this is a good deal or not:
intel core i7-3930K six core 3.20 GHz
32GB DDR3 dual channel corsair ram
2TB 7500RPM, 6GB/s HDD
ASUS ATI HD6670 1gb
750w
windows ultimate installed
water cooled
$1,500

or

intel core i7-3930K six core 3.20 GHz
64GB DDR3 dual channel corsair ram
3TB 7500RPM, 6GB/s HDD
2 x ASUS ATI HD6670 1gb
1000w 80+ PSU
ultimate installed
water cooled
$2,000
Would these be considered fairly good for their price?

Those prices are within reasonable range, but what motherboard and power supply are you looking at?

to be honest I'm not sure on what motherboard to look at. Any suggestions. Price is not a concern. It will be used as more of a gaming computer than anything else

For gaming rigs neither is really optimized well, ie: too much CPU and RAM and not enough graphics card.

Really don't need more than an i5 3570K or i5 2500K for gaming and 8GB RAM (can go 16GB but its overkill).
And for $1,500-$2,000 you'd be better served with a 1TB hard drive and a smaller SSD (~120GB) for OS and a few programs (unless you actually need all that space).

The best deal you'll get is building your own, especially if you're looking to spend that kind of money.
