Any recommendations on a case?

Also, do I need a sound card? I plan on using the monitor/speakers/mouse/keyboard that came with my current computer(a dell). The speakers are just two standard speakers, nothing special.

You wont need a sound card because they have integrated sound. I would go for the second one, I think most people prefer DFI to ASUS. If you want a quiet case go for the Antec Sonata II.

For sure! Go with the 7800GT over the X800XL if you can afford to dish out a little more of the green.

Do you know what you are talking about, do you know the benefits to a sound card? Perhaps he wants clearer sound, or something that enables 5.1 surround.

Well, I never plan to overclock this PC. At all! I was told DFI motherboards are for overclocking, so will it make a difference if I get it and dont plan to overclock?

Also, what benefits would I really get out of a sound card? Is it really worth the 60 dollars for an audigy 2? Like I said, i'll be using my basic speakers that came with my dell.

Don't get the X800XL...you will be dissapointed. Go with the 6800 GT at bare minimum. For not much more, you can get the 7800GT which is much much better. Stay away from ATI, they aren't worth it.

nah man it aint worth getting a sound card unless you want some quality sound, which your not gonna achieve without a good amp and speaker to plug it into... and its not as tho if its an expensive upgrade down the track if you ever change your mind.

It wont matter that you dont OC it.
why dont u get a 4000+ i had a 3700+ on layby but then i was like, "why dont i just wait another week an get a 4000+" so now im waiting :)

Almost any 5.1, even a cheap one will produce a better sound then the onboard.
