Default Check my build so far.

Okay so this is what i threw together in like 10 minuits just as an idea as what i should be buying for my new build. What do you guys think?

CPU
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping Kentsfield 2.40GHz 8MB L2 LGA 775
ClubIT Product - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping Kentsfield 2.40GHz 8MB L2 LGA 775 Processor Retail BX80562Q6600 SLACR

GPU - 8800GTS
Newegg.com - EVGA 320-P2-N815-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

PSU - HIPER HPU-4K580-MS ATX12V v2.2 580W Power Supply 100 - 120V - Retail
Newegg.com - HIPER HPU-4K580-MS ATX12V v2.2 580W Power Supply 100 - 120V - Retail

Case (wont change no matter what anybody says lol. Lianli = straight up quality.)

Newegg.com - LIAN LI PC-65B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

This is where im kindof stuck with a few questions. As far as motherboards go, im clueless as to whats good with the whole Intel quad core thing. Memory, should i go 2GB or 4GB? Hard drives should be pretty easy so im all set on that. So any suggestions?

for the case i would go with the Lian Li PC 7B instead because it uses 2x120 fans instead of 2x80 fan

Looks good so far. I agree with fade2black on the Lian-Li PC 7B.

As for the motherboard, if you're on a budget, get the Gigabyte P35-DS3R. If you can afford a bit more, than either the Abit IP35 Pro or ASUS P5K Deluxe.

You don't need 4GB of RAM. Are you going to be graphic designing or do heavy editing work? You only need 2GB of RAM.

p35-ds3l if he's on a strict budget and has no use of RAID
