Cheapest Video Card for Vista 64

well the question is, what are you going ti be doing?
any gaming?

Gaming, especially that 8800GTS. Otherwise maybe a 8600GT would be to your likes of video editing, photoshopping, CAD, etc.

if its just a normal home computer, no gaming at all, look at the 8400gs
if you game go for the 8800gts 320mb

Mainly just to get it up and running and upgrade it later. So I thought why not get cheapest card that can handle vista.

Just do the 8800GTS. Directx10 compatible with Vista and will last you a while until you really "need" to upgrade. If you just want it to run then go 8600GT imho.
