Default cheapest comp

how cheap can you make a pc that will still be decent, as in capable of running say bf2 on the lowest settings?
im not maiing it im just curious?

dont think this should be in the High Performance Pc topic but look on the back of the box and see recommended system requirement then pick your pc

512MB ram
AMD Sempron
Nvidia 6600

runs on my friends comp at medium settings and looks nice.

i was just specing it out on good ol ebuyer, came to 380 ish, including periferals, btw im not actully buying this, im just real bored

sempron 3100
PC Chips M870
512mb corsair
msi fx5200 128mb
hiper 350w psu, 15A dual rails
maxtor 80gb
some cd drive
windows xp
some case, monitor, speakers, mouse keyboard

Total: £371.27

not to bad, anyone better it?

Could go lower to a Sempron 2800+, 383MB RAM, a GeForce FX5200, and Windows 2000.

could use a Seagate U Series X 20 ST320014A 20GB 5400 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100(only $35.00)

hmm, well i could probly squeeze a few more pennies out of it, but still thats well cheap, i was looking at the dell website at there cheapest pc, a similar price, and they dont even have g cards, ahh well

Dell offers a free monitor and tech-support though.

£371 = $600-ish. Thats way over Dell's $300 base computers.

in uk, the cheapes dell i saw was about £270
