Do cheap motherboards really decrease performance by a noticable amount, cause they can get pretty expensive.
I have a $70 motherboard (ECS) and it seems fine.....
Should i upgrade?

Not much if at all. A better board will have more features, more connectors, better sound... They will also overclock better and for the most part, they should be more stable.

i got a $60 chaintech board that performs excellently. nice and stable good enough sound for my needs. supports all my hardware and NO issues

Well it all depends. If your tired of your board, if it's giving you problems or you want to get a board with more features such as overclocking then go ahead. A new board won't give you enough of a preformance boost to spend $80+ on.

yeah, a new motherboard will just give you more options. my personal philosophy, if its not broken don't fix it. stick with what you have, you don't need to spend any more. i have a $60 gigabyte in one of my comps, and it supports everything just fine.
