Default Cheap Gaming Rig

Short on cash and want to build the cheapest best performing gaming rig possible to run Age of Conan. Here is what I have so far...

Looks good, maybe you should step down to an X2 3600+ and overclock it to 3.0ghz and then use that, it'd run cooler than the x2 4600+ and would consume around the same power

i agree with vernong, if you do that tho get a better mobo, im not sure how the biostar over clocks. you could even go intel

I just saw the Maxtor HD, they are known for failing the most... get something else instead

get faster RAM, your mobo's memory standard is 800 and you have 667 picked out

Wow really? I always read the reviews before even considering but I guess I didn't do enough research.

AMD GT PLAER- How much of a boost in performance would the intel you listed be from the amd in my current build?

If you do go with the X2 3600+ I can vouch for the Biostar 7025-M2 motherboard, overclocks nicely and its cheap.
