Cheap Computer Build

This computer is going to be for both gaming (older games like cs cz and 1.6) and surfing the net, etc

I wont be able to buy the parts untill after september and my budget is around 6-700 dollars

Here is what i have so far..

-DFI NF4 Ultra-Infinity-
-AMD Athlon 64 3000 Venice Core-
-Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6L200S0 200GB-
-1GB DDR400-
-Geforce4 MX 440- (Already have the card from when my current computers gfx card was updated)

Is it all compatible?
Are there any parts better than these for around the same price?

Wow, until September? You might want a wait a while on planning then as some of the top of the line products now may be able to fit in a budget system.

That card will not fit, as the mobo is PCIE and the card is AGP (unless they made a standard PCI varient of it. That card will not play modern games well though.

I would go for Seagate or WD for the harddrive.

for 6-700 you can do much better

I agree with Ridyln that you can do better. I paid $700.00 recently for the computer in my sig including floppy and asus cd burner which was roughly $35.00 of the $700. Take the extra 35 and get a 6800gs. Although, the x1600pro is not bad either.
