Default changed my mind again, and again...

now i've decided I think I'm gonna hold off on getting the X2 3800+

Not that it isn't awesome, but I could save $100 and get a 3700+ (maybe) and invest it in something else. So, my question is, everyone's going to these new s939 Opteron processors, can anyone give me some specs or point me in the right direction? thanks

also, how does the 3700+ sound for gaming? I see a LOT of sigs on here that have it, and I probably won't be doing as much gaming as ya'll. Just checkin, thanks

The 3700 is an excellent proc but I ended up getting the one that's in my sig. The opteron is NICE!. I got mine with venus core 2.2ghz and a cabye stepping and got it up to 3 ghz no problem on air.

Not to highjack the thread, but is the Opteron a socket 939?
