I have moved away from the flashy alien looking cases with all the lights and now have a much smaller case, some here would probably laugh at it, but in all actuality I like it better than my full-tower, and everything runs about 10*C cooler too. Size doesn't matter, just be sure you have good intake and outtake fans.
 
Depending on how powerful the video card is determines how powerful the power supply has to be.

So far this is the best I've seen, I'll keep on looking though.
 
My Personal Opinion:

There are 4 companies that I stand by for cases. Not in any order.

Antec
ThermalTake
Lian-Li
Cooler Master

These are all i'll use.
 
I like my Lian Li.. Greatest case for a beginner builder... Very cool, very good ariflow, very nice space and a nice clean look. Grab up the Lian Li PC-65B. Good case.
 
The PSU alone is going to be 50 dollars.. I'd say go with a coolermaster
centurion 5 and a fortron source 450w for 100$

search for the Thermaltake SHARK...its great! Easy access side panel, slip-out HDs, nice case w/ lighting, good ratings at newegg too!
