What is the difference between the 8800 GTS and the 8800 GTS (G92)? According to Tomshardware the 8800 GT OC (G92) often outperforms the 8800 GTX! So if that’s the case I would think the 8800 GTS (G92) would be even better because its an GTS instead of a GT.

the difference is the new smaller g92 core, and 128 stream processors, as opposed to the old g80 8800gts only having 92 stream processors

Yep, so to clarify (you mentioned the GT as well), in order of increasing performance:

old G80 GTS (320 or 640MB)
G92 GT
G92 GTS (512MB)
GTX
Ultra

The GTX still outperforms the GT and the new GTS (slightly dodgy comparison by Toms hardware. its like saying an E6600 overclocked to 3.2 Ghz is faster than an E6850 at stock: well yes, but thats kind of missing the point!)
