Cant decide? 8800gtx or HD5770?

haha, that's kind of odd. the gtx was a mega heater usually. all though if you had an hr03 on it, it would make sense that it's cooler. stock hsf's are never very good..

yeah it had the hr03 on it kinda wish i could put it on the 5770

Manually set the fan a bit higher... The auto blows

i have the fan set on 80% and its idleing at 41 to 43, my gtx idled at around 38 to 40
would putting better thermal paste on it cool it anymore?

yeah you'd drop a couple degrees. might just put a new hsf on it though. if you're gonna put new thermal paste on might as well put a proper hsf on it too.

actually, you're in luck, the HR-03 RevA will fit on the 5770.
