Are school is very tech savvy.

Or computer class gets new computers every 2 years.

Right now we have
P4 3.4Ghz
512mb
FX5200.

My Network Administration is even better they get 5 new pc's every year.

The worst computers in the class have Athlon XP 2400+ 1GB of ram and Radeon 9600.

The ones they just bought are awesome

Core 2 Duo E6400
2GB DDR2-667
X1950 Pro

The Year before that are
AMD 3700+
1GB of RAM
X800GTO

sparco.com - i just ordered vista home premium and office 2007 standard for $189 shipped, get the academic versions which are the exact same thing, might not have the fancy box though.

The way our MSDN Academic Alliance software program works is that you need to be a student in computer science, management information systems, computer engineering or some other engineering feild - which I am mechanical.

Then you gotta apply for it, you can download online or check out the discs.

Right now it appears that Windows Vista Business is available for download.
