Ok, you guys. We ALL have to face the truth. The ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe is currently THE BEST (IMO) motherboard currently being made. It has matched DFI's highest overclock on XtremeSystems.org, it has dual x16 PCIe lanes, and it has a silent copper heatpipe chipset cooler. If he can afford it, he should get it. And normally, I would recommend Antec, but with a PC this expensive, you DO NOT want to skimp on anything that could potentially damage the system. PCP&C it is. BTW, NO Antec power supply is better or even as good as the PC Power and Cooling power supply I have recommended. They make the absolute best power supplies, at a price, but it is a very good investment, becuase it has a 70% efficiency rating, meaning that it only uses as much power as it needs at any given time, saving you money on your electricity bill.

How does the opteron 180 compare with an x2 4600 or a amd 4000?
It blows them away, at stock speed. It preforms the same as the 4800+ X2, but it's cheaper. If you get it, make sure to get the cooler I listed as well because it does not come with a cooler.

ok kewl in other words it pwns. Is it like one of the top 5 best cpu's out there or what. And what sort of oc can i get and the most they make them do the amount of oc you get less and less?

Yes, it is the top dual core CPU. You should also be able to OC it AT LEAST 400mhz, but due the the really powerful cooler I recommended, you will more than likely be able to OC it 500 or 600MHz. Even more if you ever got water or phase change cooling.

Oh and one other thing I would get, is this thermal paste for the CPU cooler:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835100007
It is the best thermal paste you can get, and it will keep your CPU at LEAST 5C cooler than the thermal paste that comes with it. Here is a guide that tells you how to apply it:
http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_silver_instructions_big2.htm
Also, if you mess up with it, you will have to wipe it off and apply a fresh layer, you can use this to clean it off:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835100010
There is a guide that tells you how to use the cleaner properly at the bottom of the first guide.

Well, you will get a 600MHz overclock if you're lucky, and remember, the CPU is dual core, so thats like having two opterons at 3.0ghz, but you also may not be able to overclock the CPU 600mhz. It all depends on what stepping you get. I can almost gaurentee however that you WILL be able to overclock it AT LEAST 400MHz, I was able to overclock my dual core opteron 165 by 500mhz.
