I was looking at buying a new video card (probably a GTX 570) and I noticed some of them have a requirement saying "dual-width PCI Express slot", but I don't know if my motherboard would work or has enough room. I have an Asrock K10N78:
ASRock > Products > K10N78

My current video card is a HIS Radeon 4850 HIS HD 4850 Fan 512MB (256bit) GDDR3 PCIe < HD 4800 Series < Desktop Graphics < Products | HIS Graphic Cards

When I look inside my case it doesn't appear that the new card would be blocked by anything, but I don't know for sure. Can anyone help me please?

Yes, a GTX570 will fit and work in your motherboard.
The 'dual-width' refers to how many slots at the back of your case the card takes up, which your HD4850 probably does as well.

Maybe, it might have been single width. They made both versions of it.

Edit: looking at the link he provided to his 4850, it was single width, but it doesn't matter. It's not like they even make cases that won't fit dual width cards, at least not anymore.
