I have a DDR3 motherboard with 2 x 2GB DDR3 modules. I have 2 x 1GB Corsair DDR memory with lower clockrate and everything lying around. Would it be okay if I dual channeled them on the remaining two memory slots? This would be next to two modules of these: Newegg.com - G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

On this mobo: Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard

Old memory: Newegg.com - A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model AD2U800B1G5-DRH

I currently have the 2 modules overclocked to 1600 MHz and I'm running 64 bit Windows.

Can I increase my overall memory by adding old-ish memory to my new setup?

Thanks
