Can I use my Laptop's modular DVD+_RW in my Desktop?

I have a Toshiba satellite that bit the dust. I have a Toshiba DVD-R/-RW drive (model SD-R6012)that I would like to use if possible. It has a different connector than a normal IDE drie. The connector is about 2 inches long and is about 2-3mm high and about 4-5mm deep, with thin walls and most of thie middle is hollow to receive another connector. It looks like the connectors are lining the inside of this opening.

Is there a connector that I can buy to make this work on a desktop? It also needs power somehow. Maybe on the ends where there looks to be openings for 1 small pole on each side? Anyone help me out on this?

Shop around, you might find it cheaper somewhere else, but the adapters do exist.
