Default Buying parts for a gaming computer:

- Apevia X-Trooper Case - Green
- GeForce GTX 550 Ti
- Intel CPU included with fan
- G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB
- Intel® Core™ i5-2500K Processor
- Z68MA-ED55 (B3)MSI Motherboard
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache
- OCZ ZT Series 650W Power Supply
- ASUS 24X DVD Burner (x1)
Tell me what you think, it came out to be being around 950 dollars.

if you bought the parts from newegg, the total is about $920. so minus $70 in MIR but add in some shipping and it seems like you could do a little better if you put it together yourself.

swap out some of those parts for a few better ones and you'll do a lot better.


i would change the gpu to
Newegg.com - XFX HD-687A-ZHFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

the psu to
Newegg.com - Antec BP550 Plus 550W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.2 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

and
double the ram to 8 Gb

that comes out to $958 for me and there should be $30 in MIR after a while.

from the way the post was constructed and the use of ® and ™ it seemed like you got this from a prefab shop and were trying to compare prices.

for gaming, GPU > CPU.
grab a AMD CPU and level up that graphics card to a GTX 560 Ti
