So I'm looking to buy a new laptop on the cheap. I need one with good performance for price and I've come across these models:

I'm leaning towards the Acer but I don't know much about the brand other than 10 years ago they don't exactly have a good reputation in terms of quality. I've used HP, Toshiba and ASUS laptops before. The Acer does look to have the best bang for buck though.
 
What will you be using it for?

Mostly just office work with occasional adobe photoshop and premiere work, but I do play a few games every now and then. No AAA games though. The most intensive I've probably played in the last couple of months is Starcraft 2 and modded Skyrim, and I played those on an i5 4200U + GeForce 720m.
