Default Buying a LCD monitor for my brother

I am giving my old computer to my brother, but I need to get him a good LCD monitor.

Something fairly cheap buy a good one. And in the new recommended parts thread there really isn't a monitor section.

I am kinda broke at this point I spend like 1650$ on a new rig for myself, so I need to get a monitor a DVD drive and POSSIBLY new keyboard and mouse for about 200 bucks.

Not sure I can pull all that off but for sure I need a monitor and DVD drive.

I have a 19 LCD widescreen for about 115$ that I found online, but possibly there is something better out there, or maybe a way to get him a slightly larger LCD screen.
