yeah the ram u suggested is very good, i agree with the rifle cooler and a I45 mobo aswell. unless you need sli, which in the case the p5n is fine.

buy the reapers. they will probably clock close to 1066 w/ 4-4-4-12 timings.

I put the sunbeamtech down because some people on this board recommended it over the zalman 110mm.... the sunbeamtech comes with good thermal paste and is rated #1 for cooling on this one website

You don't need two threads on the same topic.

The sunbeam is better than the Xigmatek. Plus it comes with Tuniq TX-2 so it saves you a little on thermal paste.

that site says the thermalright is less than the xigmatek, that is by no means true, unless your using it without a fan.

Default Overclocking e8400.. p45 or 750i?

First off I'm going asus. I want to get the 750i for dual x16 sli, but ive heard the p45 overclocks better. I'm getting the sunbeamtech core contact and already have an antec 900. So..

Are both of these boards capable of clocking an e8400 to 3.6ghz with stock volts? You can just up the front side bus without changing voltage, up to 3.6ghz right? And what exactly voids the intel warranty when overclocking?

Thanks

the thing that voids the warranty when overclocking is overclocking. and your prolly gonna have to raise the voltage.

and yea only good 750i is the evga one. so a p5q would be better.
