B75 chipset doesn't support overclocking making the 3570k useless. I would at least get an H77 board and the i5 3330.

Get some decent RAM. Corsair, G.Skill, Patriot.

Not sure why you insist on that SSD but at least it isn't OCZ.

No on the PSU. Get a TX650 instead.

I'm not planning to over clock and I think this I5 is the fastest. What makes it useless?

Why isint this RAM as good as the others? Same specs if not better for less money.

This is still a Corsair PSU but an extra 100 watts for the same price as the one you showed me.

ahh this is driving me nuts!

Looking at the reviews for the mobo I selected and come to find out I cant use usb 3.0 in the front :/

Not quite sure how much it matters though..

The extra money spent on the K class CPU (which makes it overclockable) makes it kind of useless. Your money though.

Because Crucial don't really make good RAM anymore. Their Balistix kit was the best back in early DDR2 days but would sometimes melt lol. They are pretty much just a 3rd party batch now and the companies I named off have decent CS.

The Corsair PSU I listed is a TX model of which the OEM is Seasonic, one of the best PSU makers in the world. The OEM for the GS and CX models is a 3rd party with substandard quality. You don't need 750w for this rig, but you do need a PSU with good quality parts.

A lot of boards don't have a front USB3 header port actually, and because of this most cases have a cable that simply goes to the back.

16gb memory, gtx660, 3.4ghz I5, 240gb SSD.
Went with the PSU, Motherboard and RAM type you advised. 16 instead of 8 though
Still was able to keep everything under $995, so why not

Ofcourse I mistake the 8gig ram for the 16..

Anyway, played around a bit more and was able to make it happen with the 16g ram for under $995

Would have to go with a different card though. Meh, here it is for ****s and giggles..

Also, I just realised I wouldent have USB 3.0 with this build.. But, I guess I can always do something about that later if I decide I actually need it.. doubt it.

I'd imagine prices are more likely to change sooner with this set up since the parts are a bit older too..
