Hi need some help
the system i'm currently overlooking is

motherboard: ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 LGA 775 VIA PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard cost:$78.20 AU

cpu: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6600, LGA775, 2.4GHz 4MB L2 Cache 1066Mhz FSB cost: $295.00 AU

ram: MEM KINGSTON PC5300 1GB DDR2 667MHz x2 cost (total): $66 AU

case + psu: Antec Atlas + TruePower 2.0 550W Power Supply cost: $278.30 AU

PSU info:TruePower 2.0 550W Power Supply

vid card: HIS x1950 Pro IceQ3 Turbo 256 AGP - bought

HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD3200AAKS 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM - bought

all i need to know at the moment, is the compatibility. right now the major problem is the AGP vid card, since I've already bought it and it was meant for my current pc.

I was reading up a review on the 'ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 LGA 775 VIA PT880 Pro/PT880 Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard' apparently the compatibility for vid cards is quite picky, just wondering is that for vid cards that connects to PCI-e x16 expansion slot?

if everything is compatible so far, could i get some advice, on a good enough sound card and maybe some cooling.

unfortunately I'm on a tight budget at the moment, so i can only use this vid card, and since its AGP it really brings the whole performance/cost down imho :S

so far iIve tallied the price to be $717.5 Australain, in total I want to keep the cost under $900 if possible.

Thanks in advance

thx invis

ill check up on the ram, however the cpu's FSB is incompatible with the mb as mine only supports 800/1066

i've checked up on mb's and apparently mbs that support FSB 1333MHz and have an AGP slot are none existent. I could only find AGI slots which doesn't support my vid card. :S

update:

checked up on ram, found online retail for my area

Crucial 3-3-3 PC2-5300 Ballistix MICRON 2GB DDR2 Kit (2x1024Mb) DDR2-667Mhz, 2048Mb, BL2KIT12864AA663

just wondering about price, overcharged?
