Default building new rig

hey, wondering if anyone can help me out with a couple of questions i have, i'm building a new gaming rig and need to make a few choices. im looking at a processor now, im looking at an amd fx 3.3 ghz 6 core and looking for any other good suggestions, also looking for a good motherboard with some decent ram capacity

Really depends on how much you're willing to spend, but I would not get the FX-6100.
If you have the $ the Intel i5 2500K is awesome, for AMD I'd go with the 960T.
