Core i5 is more or less the standard for gamers it seems... 2400k-2600k, the only difference is the price. I'm seeing a lot of good builds based on Core i5 2500k and a lot of good budget builds on Core i5 2400k.
On your Twin Frozr II, The difference in performance between that and the 570 is more or less 20%, and the fans on the Frozr are nifty little coolers, so you won't have too much of a problem. I'm a fan of NVidia cards, and you can't really go wrong with a lot of the 560 cards. MSI, Gigabyte, and EVGA are popular cards. PNY for the budget minded consumer...
