Default Building new gaming pc with i7.

Well my old computer is outdated and I have money to spend on a new one now. Just getting back into what the most current hardware is etc. but so far this is what im thinking of. Let me know what you guys think or if i should change anything.

Processor: Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core
Graphics Card: EVGA 896-P3-1265-AR GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 896MB 448-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported
Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC
Memory: G.SKILL 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s
Motherboard:
EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX
or
GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX

Right now Grand Total: $1,375.40 with the evga motherboard or $1,342.71 with the gtx260 + gigabyte x56 combo deal. I will be using some parts from my other computer like x-fi sound card and old hardrive etc. I will also be buying a new monitor shortly, as my current 20" widescreen with 16ms is not going to cut it. So i will most likely be gaming in 1920 x 1200 with whatever new monitor i chose. Do you guys think using my old antec p160 case will be a problem cooling wise? Looking for some quick feedback as the gtx260 core 216 special price off newegg ends tonight. Thanks!

Edit: Possibly getting another gtx260 down the road for SLI.

To save money you can downgrade the Power supply to something like an Antec or PC power and cooling 500 watt

Graphic card choice looks fine, the case you have now shouldn't be a problem so long as you use all fan slots.

Would the evga or gigabyte motherboard be a better choice or does it really matter?

Decided i will probably go with the evga board. Now all i need to figure out is if i should A) Stick with my old Antec p160 case or B) Get a new case that will fit everything and cool well, but still be somewhat quiet. Looking for something with good wire management aswell.

Also what are the most popular monitors out right now in the 22" or 24" range of a budget under $350. Im looking for something that has deep blacks and is good for movies / games. I was looking at the Acer P243WAid Black-Silver 24" 2ms but for some reason haven't read much response to it which makes me skeptical. What are some of your guys suggestions?

Newegg.com - Acer P243WAid Black-Silver 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 400 cd/m2 3000:1 ACM - LCD Monitors

Samsung and Benq are knwown to do good deep blacks. Dell does lighter colours very well and has an ok contrast ratio so make good all rounders as well as Asus. Acer tend to be a bit cheap and cheerful in my experience but they are still quite good monitors. You should look up reviews just put the model number and review into google. I wouldn't change the psu you have chosen, ste is the power guru though but personally I would like the extra headroom of 600-750W if going sli in the future.

I wish I could copy that build, I'm envious of you. Have fun, it looks great.
