just because they are combo'ed together doesn't meant they'll work.

i also use to think that if newegg put parts together in a combo, they must be compatible. but i remember i found a combo before with a x3 720 and some p45 mobo, which = incompatible obviously. i remember i even posted it on the hot deals thread just to see what you guys thought. (found the post, but link has long expired http://www.techist.com/forums/f40/ho...ml#post1678225)

edit: found a fresh one for you guys,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.419925

unless you're working on 2 different builds, theres no way you'll be able to use ddr2 ram in an lga1156 build.

anyway back to my point, x4 940 won't work in am3 mobo.

Well alright then:

CPU+MOBO: Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more! $186
GPU: Newegg.com - HIS H577FM1GD Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card $150
RAM: Newegg.com - OCZ Platinum 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ2P10664GK $88

Still in budget and will still max those games.
