Building a new comp for friend... need advice PLEASE!

... i have 230.03 left for monitor but I have no clue which one to get!! I do not know what makes a CRT monitor good? Could someone please help me pick one out.

nooOoooOO NOT XMS SERIES!!! they are overpriced and dont even OC that good unless you get the TCCD but those arent being made anymore

im not going to overclock ANYTHING at all, would that ram be fine since i am not overclocking? what is wrong with XMS series if i am NOT overclocking?

-also after upgrading ram and processor i have 230 dollars left. I decided I do not want an LCD monitor after reading reviews about them and how most of them have dead pixels, ghosting bla bla bla... and that overall CRT's are MUCH MUCH better especially for gaming. I have no clue about how CRT monitors work and what makes them good. Could someone please tell me what these factors are? or show me a good one that I could get for under 200 dollars? (preferably black) THANX!!!
