I came up with this, but its 234 over budget.... any alternatives you can think of or anything unneeded:

MSI Z77A-GD65 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS -169.00

Intel Core i5-3350P Ivy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.3GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80637i53350P -189.99

CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10R -85.99

EVGA 02G-P4-3660-KR GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card -299.99

CORSAIR Gaming Series GS600 600W ATX 12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply -99.99

Antec DF-85 Black Steel / Plastic ATX Full Tower Computer Case- 139.99

A 4 core Intel chip (3570k) will outperform AMD's 8 core FX 8150. Nvidia. 3570k uses the Z77 boards. 8GB is the standard for anything besides CAD/VM use.

Edit: In reply to the previous post no point in getting the 3350p as you wont see the difference between that and the 3330.
You don't need 16GB of RAM. Just get 8GB of 1600mhz.

Instead of the GS get the Corsair 650TX. They have different OEM's (people who make the unit before Corsair branding) and the quality difference is what makes my recommendation the 650TX.

Okay thanks is it still reccomed to go 2 sticks ram opposed to 4? Also the i5 u mentioned is it worth going for that rather than the 330 or is the 3330 perform well?

Yes 2 sticks. So when the time (if it does) comes you can add more RAM.
Like I said, you wont notice the difference between the 2 and the 3330 is still one of the fastest quads you can buy.

As generals go, I would stick with: Intel, ASUS or MSI motherboards, and NVidia graphics cards. Corsair has good memory and if you want an SSD, go with OCZ Vertex 4.

Intel motherboards suck, Gigabyte and ASRock sell more boards than MSI now.
Samsung 830 has better reliability than the whole Vertex line.
