and which is the best, q6600 or e6750?
well the q6600 is a quad-core processor, while the e6750 is a dualcore, but the e6750 has each core running at 2.66ghz, while the q6600 has running 4 at 2.4ghz... but games aren't that multithreaded right now... so the e6750 will outperform the q6600 in games... but in the future the q6600 will be better (but u can always overclock the q6600)

sorry for double post.

oke.

price in SGD:

q6600 is around $470 to $480

gigabyte p35-ds3l = $260 To $290

320gb Seagate = $130

CRUCIAL 1GB (PC-4300) 533MHz DDR2-533 = $58 ( $58x2= $116 )

EVGA 8800GTS SuperClock (GeForce 8800GTS) 320MB GDDR3 = $520

total around $1540 ( can browse later to search for the cheaper )

so this above list is ok ?

for the case im nope sure to. i dont care of the looks. i just want the pc to be cool.

for os maybe i'll go for xp for the moment.

If the 8800GTS non-overclocked is much cheaper, just go for that instead, and overclock yourself for free.

The above list looks ok. For the case, if you want things cool, the Antec 900 is a popular choice.

Those PC numbers, stand for the amount of memory bandwidth. Look at the number that proceeds after DDR2. If you plan on overclocking, it's best to get DDR2-800 PC2-6400 RAM.

What site are you buying from? For the heatsink, if you're getting the Q6600, the Tuniq 120 is recommended.

That would be better, if it fits into your budget. But if you don't need 8 SATA ports or the RAID feature, you can just go for the DS3L.
