Hey Everybody!
I am thinking to upgrade my PC but it is the first time for me and i don't know what parts will it support or which one would be perfect for it.
My current specs are :
Processor : Intel Pentium Dual Core E2220 @2.40GHz
RAM : 2.00GB
System Type : 32-Bit
Display Adapter : Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
I'm a gamer and this PC has never let me play a game without lag or death spikes.
What do you guys recommend?
I've seen some parts that are cheap and awesome but i don't know whether they're compatible or not.

Could you guys give me an advice?
Also, not sure but can you change the motherboard too? Does that change the system type?

On a budget like that you wont have enough money to get everything you need to make it worth you time and money. If this is a prebuilt, you have 2 more things to take into consideration. When you add more power hungry parts your requirements for PSU are upped so you will need to buy a new one no matter what.

So, what is your computer brand and model? I can recommend a GPU/PSU combo in your budget that you can use with your current parts to reduce that lag without getting unnecessary parts that wont make a difference.

It's a Compaq Presario SR5300.
If something else is needed to make it better it's not a problem to spend more as long as the final result is a strong gaming PC.

Ok with more information, basically you would need a whole new PC. Motherboard, processor, PSU, RAM, video card, and case. It's a BTX styled case which means a standard (cheaper) ATX based motherboard wont work in it, so you would need a new case.

Depending on how high you can make the budget, your better bet would be to buy a new PSU and GPU and use that until you can afford to buy everything new. Would probably cost between 800 and 1000 E.

To be more technical, better if you built a whole new PC but as I said a decent one would be between 800 and 1000€.

Don't expect miracles because your CPU will hold you back a tad, but these will help you greatly.

Offerta, Vendita Alimentatore PC Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 650W 80Plus Bronze - CMPSU-650TXV2EU
Offerta, Vendita VGA EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 660 TI SC Core 980/1059MHz Memory GDDR5 6008MHz 2GB DVI HDMI DP - 02G-P4-3662-KR

In your budget, and with these you will see a drastic increase in performance as well as be able to reuse them for a future build (the PSU for sure).

Just to be on the safe side, take off side panel and look on the motherboard to be absolutely certain you have a PCI-E slot. It will look something similar to this blue slot pictured.
