Building frist REAL gaming computer...ideas?

Looking at several benchtests The 7800gtx does get better results than the ATI X1800XT.

With ATIs new drivers coming out NVIDIAs lead in OpenGL games (Doom3, Quake 4) may have vanished. Just a thought if you aren't sure about which video card to go with (ATI or nVidia).

If you want the ultimate air cooler, than the Zalman aero flower is the best, but is a bit bulky. The Zalman 7700cu is nice as well. If you have the money water cooling is great, means that you can have a quieter PC, while still having better cooling than air.

dont the GPU's have to have water cooling capablity inorder to use a water cooling system?
