Question Build or Order

Hey guys, Do you guys think its better to "Order" A gaming machine off the interweb from places like "Alienware" or to build your own machine from chop shops ?

I am just trying to build my new gaming machine and can't really find a place to order a good machine without spending an arm and a leg.

please advise

I would build not order its cheaper. Now is not the best time to upgrade IMO. There is alot of changes going on now and Vista is coming out next year. I would wait another year to upgrade!

im on an older ( 1 year old )
AMD 3000+ ( not 64 )
with nice ram and a 6800...

If I go,
new intel Dual Core at 3.8 Gb
with all the new bells and wistles, do you think it would be a waste ?

Im thinking of the Buss speeds and CPU issues.
I am going to get the 7500 nvidia card for sure.

3.8 ghz not gb and there is no nvidia 7500 but there are 7800gt(x) And yes, I think it would be a waste right now.

Yes, def a waste. I do say though, if you have many dimm slots try upgrading ram. Its always transferrable to your next pc, and its ussually gives your sys a nice little boost.

Why should I wait and also if I do build what should I hold off on... and then buy later
