build now or later?

well, i was thinking about building my computer now beacuse of the back 2 school combos, but should i wait 4 th Nehalem CPUs? i have about a $2,200 budget and i want 2 CF 4870s or get a 4870X2, so i have around $1,700 for the rest. wont the Nehalem CPUs be expensive? and the compatible motherboards to? also i doubt that DDR3 memory price will drop by then, which the NEhalem is optomized 4.

I would wait for nehalem and it should be able to fit in your budget A 2.66ghz bloomfield should be $284 and is 25-50% faster than Yorkfield clock for clock. A x58 motherboard will probably cost ~$250 plus 3 or 6gb of DDR3 since nehalem supports triple channel.

i would definantely wait for nehalem. i wish my dad waited before building his pc. he just spent 1800+ on a quad core system.
