Default Blu-Ray Drive

Are they worth it yet? Or should I wait a couple of more months to get 1?

Blue ray burners are still quite expensive, I think the cheapest on newegg is around 180 USD.

They are great for data back up as a single layer disk can hold 25 GB and a dual layer can hold 50 GB.

Are you inquiring about a Blu-Ray Rom, or a Burner? As of this moment the cheapest reader is approximately $99-109 USD and what I find to be the turning point for a purchase like this is whether or not it will be utilized fully.

Otherwise if you are inquiring about the writer, I share the same sentiments as the above posters with it being pricey in terms of the hardware and media.
