Default Blinking Video

my brother currently has a dell desktop w/ a nvidia 5200 gfx card. Every 3-10 seconds the monitor blinks and when he plays WoW, there are crazy triangular shapes. Is the a sign of driver problems, monitor problems, or is the video card failing

well u have one of the worst cards of all time so i would change the card but im not saying for sure thats the problem but its the most likely. the fx5200 is terrible. just get a 6800gs or something and everything SHOULD be ok. no guarantees tho k?
