Default Biostar p45 and Q9650

I want to take my Q9650 out of my 780i and put it in my Biostar p45 because I'm not using SLI anymore.

Can the Biostar p45 Support the Q9650? They both are LGA 775 and the FSB is just fine..

this link though: BIOSTAR
^sound warning

"Support latest Intel Socket 775 Core 2 Extreme/Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Duo Processors"

why isnt the Q9650 on the list?

It should work fine. The q9650 was one of the latter Core 2 quads released so they may have not updated the list to show it.

P45's were practically build for Core 2 Quad Yorkfields.. you'll be fine....

and good riddance to 780i

Q9650 was a late release compared to the other Yorkfields, its basically a qx9650 that's locked, so if that works, this will too

I'd say close to 4.0ghz, if not not it or more

Sell that 780i on SLI Zone.. since most of the people there love SLI setups
