Default Which is better for server, opteron or xeon?

Just wondering because I will be building a dod:s dedicated server for my clan and I and I was wondering if a dual xeon or dual opteron setup would be better.

Whats equivalent to a dual cpu xeon 3.06ghz setup in amd?

I would believe that the Opteron would be better.

im not much of an AMD guy, but im guessing the 3000+ or 3200?

well the place where im working just got an opturon server (they have about 25 xeon ones) and the general concensus is that it PWNZORZ the Intel ones
