Thats an extremely easy question lol since they run on the same clock speeds. Extra memory doesn't even start effecting performance until after 1600x1200 res. SLI 2 8800GTS 320mb but that's a really stupid thing to do.

it competes with the gtx, but the gtx still beats it and a gtx will cost less then two gts's

Yea....SLI is almost never worth it except for 2 things.

1. You want the most bleeding edge technology you can get ( SLI 8800GTX)
2. You Buy one say DX10 8800GTS for only 300 bucks becuase you dont have enough to shell out for the GTX, then you add another later on for more power.

Still though SLI is almost always a waste as it makes more heat, requires more power, and becomes obsolete pretty fast.

oh, my mistake then . i thought the 8800GTS sli was more powerful than a lone 8800GTX, in which case (going by Australian prices) two Asus 320mb GTS cards (cheapest price on pre-order) fall not to much more expensive than a "Sparkle" 8800GTX.
