I've never had any driver problems from creative w/ 64bit. Specify what you need it for. Gaming?,Music?,Movies?

I have a Fatal1ty gamer, that i bought for like 40$ on craigslist.
best deal ever.

And yah creative does have **** drivers for vista 64. Most of the time the Mic won't work in two apps at once, etc.

X-fi Alchemy fixes the qualty of sound issue for the most part..
but yah..

i love xfi

i will be doing all of those things (gaming, music & videos)

but i'm mainly looking at buying it for gaming.

i play games such as cod4, css, crysis, gears of wars, gr2...

just looking to improve my overall audio quality though..

i heard the fatality gamer was just an x-fi extreme gamer with that guys name stamped on it. and that there is no real advantage of the 64mb of ram that it has over the plain extreme gamer.

is this right ??

(i dont really want the front panel crap it comes with so dont say thats a difference)

I'm running an X-Fi XtremeMusic in XP x64. I've had no hassles with it.

All I needed to do was install the 64-bit drivers (which can be found here)

and then I installed the audio console and stuff from the CD.

no the fatal1ty version does make a diffrence the 64xbit rams kick up your game a notch giving it about a 15pct boost in gameplay.
