so if i get a 7800gt and 1 gig ram how would this thing (opteron 165) handle game settings?

So since i am Oc'ing with water I wouldnt really need to pay the extra for the retail correct?

No you don't need the heatsink and fan if you have water cooling. It would handle games fine not overclocked and even better overclocked.

Its not really for games as much as 3d studio max and a bunch of Editing applications, but since i will be working on Oblivion I will want it to be able to run high end games.
