The only real difference between the 1xx, 2xx and 8xx opterons is how many you can put together in one machine.

I just read this on another forum...let me know what you guys think

I just read that after these opteron 165's sell out theyll probably re-stock in a couple months but...the stepping will get worse for OC'ing not better..

They will not restock, AMD is stopping production of socket939 opterons. There are some threads about it on this forum.

Generally that would be true, however that is not the case with the 165s because they have been discontinued and they will never be re stocked.

how long do you suppose that thing would go until next upgrade? i will be overclocking.

also how would it handle next years new engines?

Ok so im still a bit confused, could someone campare this card to something that would perform the same that they sell on newegg, just so i can get an idea of how much money i am saving.
