Default Best Monitor For Gaming?

What Monitor size is best for Gaming?
I am Guessing a 22" or 24".

If you think its either one or even a different size please tell me why.

I don't need any specific monitors picked out, i can research and find a good monitor on my own.

Thank you,
Appreciate it.

Best Regards,
Noniy.

Well i am gonna be building a new system, and will be purchasing a monitor with it.

I am going to be getting a GTX285.

And the Budget for my monitor is about $300.

So would 24" best suite me or, do you have any other size/resolutions you can suggest?

Not in that price range. If you wanted to keep it under $300 I would look at something like this.

Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 2253BW Black 22" 2ms(GTG) DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 300 cd/m2 DC 8000:1 - LCD Monitors
22inch 1680 x 1050 $260 with an additional $20 mail in rebate.

A good 24" will be a bit more than $300

Get you an HP w2408h 24" lcd. It beats the Samsung SyncMaster hands down. When I was looking for an lcd, it came down to the HP and the Samsung. The clarity on the HP is unbelievable. Gaming on COD4, COD5, and Crysis are as realistic as it can get without going up to a 30". I picked mine up on eBay for $330 shipped with a warranty back in August and I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Newegg.com - ASUS VW246H Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 20000:1) Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors

Newegg.com - ASUS MK241H Black 24" 2ms HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with 1.3M Pixel Webcam 450 cd/m2 1000:1 (ASCR 3000:1) Built in Speakers - LCD Monitors

Newegg.com - Acer P243WAid Black-Silver 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 400 cd/m2 3000:1 ACM - LCD Monitors

24" monitors <$300. Heck, my Acer 1080p 22" (technically 21.5" but meh) was <$200.
