Hey guys,
I upgraded my PC to one with the following specs.
Proc: Core 2 Duo 6600
Mobo: Evga 680i
GPU: Evga 8800GTX
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 640GB
My current monitor is a Samsung 17" LCD with 1240 x 1028 native resolution, 600:1 contrast, and 8ms response time.
Does anyone have a recommendation on a good LCD monitor upgrade that is great for gaming (I usually play a lot of RTS and MMORPGs, not really a ton of FPSs)? I would prefer one that is reasonably priced (~$300). In particular:
- is LCD Widescreen better or 4:3?
- if Widescreen is the way to go, should I shoot for a 16:10 or 16:9 spec?
- any specific brand?
Thanks a ton!
