What is THE best graphics card there is????
i dont care wat price, or conectivity it is, i just wanna know wat the best card is there to get right now.

Well, if you're talking about the gaming consumer market, it's the 7800GTX 512mb card.

There are workstation graphics cards that cost upwards of 3 grand, but I know absolutely nothing about those things.

Soon Nvidia is going to release their G71 and ATI is releasing the R580 which is much more powerful then any cards out right now.

Right now that is the most powerful gpu. Actually acquiring one without spending 1200 bucks on ebay is a different story.

i got evga7800gtx512 for $699. i thought i spent way too much for a single gpu.
but lookin at ebay and stuff...now i feel lucky. well.. still not so great for cost and performance ratio. but its so powerful!
it OC at 600/1800 on the fly. very stable. i love it.
mb ill sell it for $1200 on ebay and get 7800gtx256 SLI'd..........nah..

the 3 grand PNY quatro whatever it is you see. if you had the money for one and money wasnt a problem would it be good for gamming? like compared to a 7800gtx 512mb
