Hey Sean, I just bought those a couple days ago when they were 39.99 w/ $10 MIR on new egg. I had a pair of razer caraiakcaras whatever those are called before. I read a lot of reviews saying to really make the Corsair shine having even a cheap soundcard is worth it.

Steer away from "gaming" headsets, and get a good pair of headphones with a clipon microphone.

Basically, a good pair of headphones will be good for anything (including games), the "gaming" label is nothing more than marketing.

Anyway, I'd suggest something like the Audio Technica AD700's, or Sennheiser HD215's

i agree with apokalipse. gaming label is to sucker you in to buying an expensive headset without the actual quality that you are expecting.

any Head phones with a microphone is usually great for gaming.
