Ok so heres the thing.
I have a Sata III drive, I installed Norton Partition Magic and changed the name of my drive... Ever since, I've been geting errors. They happen randomly and not all the time... But mostly while in IE, or just navigating through windows. I will hear the windows error sound over and over and over until I exit the window... After this I just have to turn off the computer and restart because it won't let me copy and paste and some program wont open. After I reboot it goes away... but it will happen again at random later on.
I was going to just reformat because this is not the first time it happens. It seems that as long as I don't mess with Partition Magic I wont get these errors. I think I may have damaged something on my harddrive... Maybe some sort of raid driver. Anyways... If theres anyway to avoid a reformat, if anyone knows any sort of program thats very good for repair drive errors... please let me know!
